Welcome Storytellers!
Congratulations! After some careful consideration, your teams were picked to help rewrite some famous fairy tales many of us have heard of. However, we want these stories to be fresh and modern, so we have selected you and your team to help retell them. Several changes to these stories will need to be made in order for younger generations to appreciate them. The stories you write will be published as a book of modern fairy tales and will be found in libraries all over the world!
You have been divided into four teams of authors. Together, you will research the fairy tale you have been asked to rewrite. This research should help you to fully understand the fairy tale, its characters, and its events as well as what makes it a fairy tale. Then, you will begin the process of rewriting the story. Your goal is to make sure that you include elements from the original fairy tale, but rewrite it so that it can be enjoyed for generations to come.
Good luck and happy writing!
